John Buff and Margaret ____ his wife came to Oregon in 1852 from Johnson Co, Mo. John died Dec 1869 at Howell Prairie, Marion Co, Or. What was Margaret's maiden name? They probably married in Haywood Co, NC? Son, Thomas Buff, b. ca 1830 Haywood Co, NC; m. 1849 to Sarah Hicks who d. 1851 in Johnson Co, Mo, daughter of Phillip Hicks and Mary Simpson. Thomas Buff then married 2/ his sister-in-law, Mrs. Elizabeth Hicks Buff, widow of his bro. John Buff and lived at Salt Creek, Polk Co, Or. Can anyone tell me who their children were. Thanks, June
