Looking for help on the Isle of Man ancestry of Charles Quayle and his wife Jane (Cannell) Quayle. I have hit a dead end and their common IOM surnames make research more dubious.
What Records I Have Found:
Jane was christened 15 Jan 1796, Michael, Isle of Man which includes her parents name - William Cannell and Catherine Corlett.
Parents, William Cannell and Catherine Corlett, were married 17 Nov 1781, Lezayre, Isle of Man. Witnesses were Chas Crow; John Corlett, btp(both of this parish).
Charles and Jane were married 25 Jan 1825, Michael, Isle of Man.
Charles Quayle and his wife Jane (Cannell) Quayle came to America sometime between the birth of their son William (born 18 Oct 1825, Kirk Michael, Isle of Man) and the birth of son Amos (born 15 Jul 1830, Ontario Co, NY. They both died in Richmond, Ontario Co, NY.
One researcher stated Charles left from Liverpool on the ship India with his family and his mother Ellenor, BUT a photocopy of the original passenger list only shows Ellenor Quayle age 56, followed by Charles age 27. Jane and son William are not listed, so I have doubt this is the same Charles.
Any help would be greatly appreciated and thank you.
