I've found a source for the above book which identifies many of the Monaghan families as follows:-
Ancketills, Johnstons of Fort Johnston, Singletons of Fort Singleton,Barrett-Lennard family, Dawson Family of Dawsongrove, Ker of Newbliss, Corry of Rockcorry, Maddens of Hilton, Full Pedigree of the MacMahons back to Conn of the Hundred Battles, Burnet of Ballyleck, Full Pedigree of Westenra, Lord Rossmore, Cairnes of Monaghan, Lucas of Castleshane (full pedigree), Flemings of Derry, Forster of Tullaghan, Owen of Monaghanduffe (Newgrove), Cole of Brandrum, Wright (Woodwright) of Gola, Evatt of Mount Louise, Montgomery of Ballyleck, Mitchells of Drumreaske (later Kanes) & related to the Robinsons of Cappog, Hamilton of Cornacassa, Full Pedigree of Blayney, Lord Blayney of Castleblayney, Leslie of Ballybay, Tenison of Lough Bawn, Rothwell (now Fitzherbert) of Shantonagh, Pedigree of Devereux, Earl of Essex, etc etc.
This book contains some wonderful accounts of each Parish in the County including the meanings of the Parish & Townland titles, translated from Gaelic.
