Would like to hear from anyone in regard to the surnames Crosby/Crosbie.My greatgrandfather George and his bros Micheal and Thomas,immigrated to New Zealand in the 1880,s from Co.Monaghan possibly Carrickmacross ??? there were other members of their family who went to Scotland.I am lead to believe it was Glasgow

Interesting post about your Crosby/Crosbie family in Co. Monaghan connection. I have stayed in a B & B just outside of Kingscourt in Co. Cavan owned by a Crosby family. Kingscourt is on the border with Counties Monaghan and Meath so there may be some connection with these Crosby's and your Crosby's.
