On the 10th of May 1764 Rev. Thomas Clarke and almost 300 members of his Congregation walked from Cahans Church, Lisnaveane, County Monaghan to Newry County Down. There they set sail for New York.... known today as the "Cahans Exodus"

This beautiful Church is well on it's way to being restored by a small but very hard working committee. If you have any family connections with Cahans we would love to hear from you.

The committee must be working very hard. Any idea of when they will get around to answering people?
