Found this unusual surname in a north Monaghan churchyard while searching for another name..is anyone researching this name.

Hi, looking for Garlan family who had sister Mary born circ 1834 who married James McMahon and lived townland Cornacrew, Carrickmacross, Co Monaghan. Know she had brother(s) that went to USA. Regards Sally McMahon

Sorry don't have an Mary Gartlans that early anywhere in my files. I looked in the Griffiths for the names Garlan-Garlon-Garland-Gartlan-Gartland and didn't find anyone listed for Cornacrew.
