Classification: Query
Surnames: MUNNICH, MUNICK, MUNICH, ZIMMERMAN
I've found an ships record for my relative Eduard Munnich (aka Edward Minnick/Munnick) who came to the United States in 1858. He is listed as being from Hungary, and also whoever made the records added a column listing the place the passenger originated from. Unfortunately, I can't quite read the handwriting. I've shown some other people and what we've come up with is that it looks like Unterboeblingen. But on current maps, I've only found Boeblingen, in Germany, and it seems far to the West to ever have been part of Hungary. Does this city ring a bell or could someone suggest a likely alternative? Below is an extraction from the record and names and ages of three other people who are listed as being from the same place. Thank you for your assistance.
The ship is the Donau. It originated from Bremen, Germany, and arrived in New York City on 26 AUG 1858. Microfilm role 497, Line 55, List number 1024. The list is in Ancestry's index if anyone was inclined to take a look for themselves.
Marie ZIMMERMAN, 24
Eduard Munnich, 28 (with an umlaut over the U)
Lork SARK (???, I'm having trouble with the last name as well).
