Hello all,
Know this is an old board but hoping to resurrect the thread! I too am researching a Franke family originating in Prussia. They came from Tennstedt (which I think was in Prussia - the geographical changes kind of mix me up a bit). The furthest back I can get is to Johann Christopher Franke, b. abt 1791, who was married to Martha Bleiding. He was married once before that but the wife was unknown. He, his wife, and three children (Ephraim, Frederick, and Louisa) emigrated to the U.S. in 1857 and settled in the Somerset/Cambria County area. Would love to learn more about this family or connect with other descendents!
