Surnames: Franke, Zimmereimer
Richard- i'm on the same page looking for frankes in prussia, late 1800's. Have Albert Julius Franke b.mar 1865 in Prussia emigrated 1890 to phila. married gertrude Zimmereimer in Phila, 1898 in the German lutheran church. gertrude was born in Berlin- assume they met here. found a birth record on the IGI for a possible one for albert Parents were Ernestine and Julius Franke Also found in 1880 census Philadelphia a J. William Franke, shoemaker. Speculate he could be an uncle for Albert. I always wish I knew why someone comes to a certain place in US- figure there may be an earlier family member there..
