Hi !
In germany your ancestors name of course was : Fried(e)rich, not Frederick.Sunhouser sounds in german : Sun(d)häuser, this is sb. from Sun(d)hausen.
You can find it on google maps near Nordhausen.

Sachsen ( Saxony) existed two times. You can see it in green. This is the kingdom of Sachsen. Capital :Dresden.And in the center of the map you see the word SACHSEN. This is the district of Sachsen, part of the Kingdom Prussia. Capital : Berlin.Above the "S" of the prussian Sachsen is the town : NORDHAUSEN. Sundhausen now belongs to Nordhausen.
