Alexander Mather {Spirit Merchant} was bn 9/1/1866 in Tillicoultry, Clackmannan to Alexander Mather & Mary Jack McBeath.
It is know he travelled into Ellis Island, New York Twice:
3/9/1905 – to Visit his sister Elizabeth Robertson nee Mather at Robbins Station, Westmoreland PA {A posting will be made soon for Elizabeth Mather & her husband Alex Robertson}
19/3/1907 – to visit William Middleton at Robbins Station, Westmoreland, PA
He married Jessie Rae Walker a Pianist bn 1886 to Thomas Walker and Jessie Fitzpatrick….they married at Carriden Manse, Bo’ness on 18/6/1919. At this time Alex’s address is the Stag Inn, Grangepans, Bo’ness the pub he had ran since his father died.
Alex Mather was my Grandfather’s Uncle he says they moved to Hamilton in Ontario Canada and had two sons named Sandy {Alexander} and Ray {Raymond}.
It would be great to hear from anyone who has connections to this family.
