Hi Folks.

Does anyone here have any insight into the Bayner family of Ramsay? My second great grandmother was a Sarah Baynor who was born in 1822, and lived in Ramsay. She may have been born in Lanark County, or possibly moved there from Scotland as a young child. I have conflicting census and marriage records. She married a Jonathan McDonald, born 1810 in Scotland, and the family took residence in Wilberforce, Renfrew county in about 1845. Jonathan may have come to Canada and lived with his younger brother Peter. Sarah and Jonathan had seven children, and Sarah died about 1861 - shortly after the birth of her last child.

I know that there were a few Bayners living in Lanark county during the 1800's, and I'm thinking Sarah must have been related to them. Any assistance would be most appreciated!

Warmest regards

Doug Logan
