Hi There
I am new to the ancester hunt. My Mother passed away in January/08 she was of the Winter Clan. So many of the comments made in your post ring a family bell so to speak
An ancester John Winters (had two brothers that I know of named Samuel and Robert) was murdered in Lonsdale, Ontario August 16, 1872 by Dominick Tihe and James Smith. I also know my mother had Hawley cousins. One was a minister living in Tweed Ontario.
Also I know forefathers came from Antrim, Ireland.
If you think the picture you have of John Winters is my ancester would you be kind enough to send me a copy any other relevant information you may have. As I said above I am new at this and need all the help I can get.
I have a great deal of information on the John Winters line from the the of Mom's grandparents John and Saphronia Winters.
Thanks
Arlene
