We share a Great grandfather. Peter Feeney was born in either Co. Clare or Galway Ireland in about 1831. He came
to America and married Mary Walsh who was born in the same
place as Peter. She was born 3-6-1834 and died 2-17-1916 in
Rice Lake Wisconsin at the home of her daughter. There is a
web site about Oconto on the net that tells about Peter and
Mary and also their daughter Barbara Irma Feeney who married John Ratchfod. Their daughter Lillian Gertrude Ratchford Ainsworth was my father's mother.

If you still have my email on file perhaps you want to email me direct?

I didn't have G.Grandmother's actual birthdate or baptism date. Thank you so very much for the info.

The birthdate I have for James is far from what you sent, I'll have to check into that issue :)

As long as we are talking about the Irish, and today being St. Patrick's day it is only fitting.... how about Boland or McCarthy?
I have a Mary McCarthy born about 1888 in Biddulph who married Joseph Boland and a Joseph McCarthy who married Annie Marie Boland in 1913 and then of course there are McCarthys in Adelaide Twp as well.
I have Lucinda Cassidy's autobiography and a listing of her and Richard's children's birth, wedding, and deaths dates. Some dates are different from the previous posting. She traveled west across Canada in her time, settling with children following the death of Richard (initially in Saskatchewan) and on to British Columbia.

Kris

Always around lurking and then some! ;-)

I assumed you probably had already gathered the information since your original post was old, but figured it wouldn't hurt to throw it out there just in case.

I drive myself crazy with Irish Catholics in London and Lucan.
Ann,

There is an Elizabeth Leary that was baptized at St. Patrick's in Biddulph on Jan 10, 1854. She was born on Jan 12, 1853 to Timothy Leary and Mary Boland. Sponsors were Patrick Boland and Mary McDonald.

A boy named James O'Leary, born Jun 1, 1853 to Timothy O'Leary and Margaret Boland was also baptized in St. Patrick's on Jan 10, 1854. This time James Boland and a Mary McKechin were sponsors.

Obviously one of the birth dates must either be wrong or was transcribed incorrectly.

No Leary/O'Leary marriages could be found in St. Patrick's. But I did find a marriage for a Catherine O'Leary in St. Peter's in London. She was the daughter of Timothy O'Leary and Mary Bolan. She was age 26, born in McGillvray, living in London and married Edward Barnes (or Baines?) on Jan 18, 1899. Witnesses to the marriage were Joseph Barnes and Ann McInnes.

That was all I found pertaining to this family in St. Peter's or St. Patrick's. There was a Denis O'Leary that briefly showed up as a parent to Winifred (she was born 1855) but then I don't have any other information on the family. Denis O'Leary appeared to have been married to a woman named Hanora O'Mara.

If you happen to run across Denis in your search, please let me know. I have no information on this O'Mara and would be interested in gathering more.

Hope this helps your search some.

Sue O'Meara
Michigan, USA

Yes, Angus & Elizabeth "Bessie" were married June 28, 1881.
I am not sure exactly where they were married, the record appears in the marriage register of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church, Mount Carmel, Stephen Twp., Huron Co., Ontario, Can.
So it could be there or at St. Peters, on Highway #4.
Which line are you researching?
Searching for info about a Margaret Wilkin(s), b.ca./baptized ca. 26 December 1820, Donaghmore, Tyrone, Ireland. Born to Matthew Wilkin(s)(1790-1855) and Sarah Ritchie (ca. 1801-1866) with whom she and her siblings immigrated to Canada circa 1832 and settled in Adelaide Twp., Middlesex Co., Ontario. She is rumoured to have married a man with the surname "Cave(s)"??, date and place unknown. A stone was erected in St. Ann's Cemetery, Adelaide Twp., in her memory beside her parents stone by her daughter, Mrs. Wm. Brooks, but it is not known whether she is actually buried there or if the stone is just a memorial.

Would welcome any info someone out there might be willing to share that might lead me to the identity of her husband and their descendants. Would also welcome any info about her siblings: Isabella; Eliza and Katherine (twins); Ann; Mary; Sarah Jane; George William; Matthew (all born in Ireland); Violet and David (both born in Canada).

Can be contacted direct at neinein2009@gmail.com

But I don't know the county in Nofolk and anything I've found shows it is the larget county in that England which doesn't bode well to find where David was born. Just wondered what you might know about this family in general.
thanks, Yvette

Hello. I was wondering if anyone could do some lookups for my Frederick Cleverly (Cleverley) who died in London on 26 February 1844 and his mother Charlotte Louisa Prangnall who died in London on 14 October 1849? I would also love to know whether any other family members were buried with them. Frederick was married and had at least one child. I am also aware that Frederick's brother Oscar Worrall Cleverly drowned on Lake Erie some time after their mother's death but do not know whether his body and that of his children were ever recovered from the Lake.

Is this William Gower also married to a Mary Ann Bastard - cousin?

Searching for anyone with more info. on William John Gower born in McGillvray Twp. Middlesex or Huron Co. On. Canada between 1836 and 1841. Census dates vary. Married to Mary Ann Bestard/Beasley born 1841 in On. possibly the same area. Her surname varies between Bestard and Beasley in census. Wish to know more about both of their parentage. Whether their parents came from British Isles, or born in Canada or possibly U.S.A. of UEL families. Any assistance on furthering my research would be greatly appreciated.

Charles Tuckey Jr. and Margaret Gray of southern Ontario

I am a descendant of Charles Tuckey Jr. from the London, Ontario area. I found a memorial to the family in the Melrose United Cemetery, which listed that he had 4 wives. I believe through my research that my connection to him through his daughter Margaret is via his first wife Margaret Gray.

Has anyone been researching this family and know anything of Margaret Gray, or perhaps some good sources for southern Ontario research that I could follow up on? Thanks!

I do not recognize any of your"Taylor" names, but found it interesting that my Taylor line was also situated in and around the London,Ontario area. My ggrandfather was John Taylor married to Edna Marion Storey[this was her second marriage] They had two sons Edward and Joh[Jack] Taylor. Also if you look into the OCFA web page there may be a listing for Taylors for the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in London,Ont.,as I knwo that is where some of my Taylors are buried. Good Luck.
My great grandmother was a Taylor; "Anna" Sophia Taylor, 1866-1938) was from London, Ontario. Her father was Charles Taylor, (1830-1910). The Taylors came from Tippereray County, Ireland. Members of the Anglican Chruch. They had relatives all over London, St. Thomas, Michigan, etc. The family plot is at Woodland Cemetery, in London, Ontario. Does anyone know where George Taylor and Benjamin Taylor are buried?
