Thomas Bays & family are not on the 1852 census of Charlotteville But they are on 1861 census up to 1911 where Charles is the head of the house & Elizabeth is a widow. The children I have documented & spouses are as follows

Charles he is still single in 1911

Fred b. 1875 md. Lily May Marshall 0vs # 10136 17 Mar. 1897

One strange thing on the 1881 census the Bay's list all the children even though George, Jane, Alfred, Anna are all married & living with their spouses. I suspect they were ask " what are the names & ages of your children"

I have not yet looked for Thomas Bays & Elizabeth Leggott/Leggitt in England for births.
Elizabeth is the only mother listed on the marriages so I am not sure if Mary wife of Thomas (1861) is the same person as Elizabeth wife of Thomas (1871) Angie
