Looking for decendants of James Todd. The Todd's were early pioneers on Ontario, coming over from Scotland on board the Prompt in 1820 and settling in Dalhousie Twp, Lanark County, Ontario. In abt 1832, the Todds relocated to Innisfil Twp, Simcoe County. James Todd was born there abt 1839, the son of Davidson Todd and Margaret Hood. On Jan. 2, 1865 in Orillia, James married Harriet Morgan. On the 1871 and 1881 census James shows up as living in Thorah, Ontario County and working as a carriage/wagon builder. In 1881 their children are listed as Harry, age 8, Florida, age 5 (female), and Clarence age 2. Nothing more is known about this couple after 1881 and any informaiton would be appreciated.
