I am related to the Hamiltons, my gg grandfather John Barr married Mary Hamilton a sister of Francis and William and they lived on Lot 5 Con.10 in Hibbert Township.

The only thing I have that Alice lived after 1871 is a marriage that I found on Ancestry.ca, it has an Alice Hamilton marrying a John Laing on June 6, 1873 in Usborne Township, they both resided in Hibbert Township. The only problem is it has Alice's mother listed as Mary, but that could have been a registration error since the groom mother's name was Mary.

Little errors like that occur, look at William Hamilton in the Hibbert Township History Book his wife is Nancy and they have no children. Then in the 1861 and 1871 his wife is Agnes and they have a daughter.

Thank you again for the information, I will continue searching because there is no other information on the Laing Family, they possibly moved to the U.S. After there Marriage.
