Mary,
I am researching my GGG-Grandfather Walter Forrest (b. Mar 2 1813 Cambuslang Lanarkshire Scotland d. 1886 Maryborough Township ON) who emmigrated from Scotland in 1957 with his wife, Elizabeth Stewart (Stuart?) (bc prob Mar 4 1811 Kilmory Buteshire Scotland) m 1840. After 8 months in Hamilton ON they settled in Maryborough Township with their children, including my GG grandfather Alexander Forrest (b. Nov 23 1849 Scotland) who m. Agnes Spiers (b. Mar 17 1844 Scotland)m. Feb 1863. I know Alexander is buried Glen Allan Union, Mapleton, Wellington County ON.
I have a website at http://www.myheritage.com/site-43569872/walter-forrest-decen... and am hoping you can help fill in some of the missing pieces at dease@babyboom2.com I live in Wingham Ontario not too far from the family homestead and have a map of the old farm but as I have only lived her for a year I am unable to decipher how to get there (what are the new named of the old roads?). Any help in info or any kind would be appreciated.
