Hi Marlene -- I'm related to all the people you mention here.
According to my 93 year old grandmother, Emma (Amy) Shaw was born out of wedlock to Dorothy Shaw. Dorothy did not marry Adam Book until Emma was about 13, and Emma does not appear in Adam Book's will. Therefore, I think it can safely be assumed that he is not her biological father.
I descend from Martha Drummond & John Havens, then from John Ashworth Havens & Lillian Priscilla Ashford. Rhoda Havens Babcock was my grandmother's aunt.
