Wish to find information and make contact with descendents of Clement Lundrum Clarke (b. 1800, Ireland) and Isabella Shaw Clarke, (b.Aug. 5, 1817, York, Upper Canada) Isabella was the daughter of Aeneas Shaw Jr., and Granddaughter of Major-Gen. Aeneas Shaw. Children of Clement and Isabella - George, Sarah Jane (m. Henry Stenning, daughter Ruth Isabella m. Edgar Couse, and daughter Lottie m. John Whittaker), Charlotte, William Frederick and Henry Benson (m. Maria Gooch, sons Frederick m. Winnie Cullen and Henry Gladstone m. Ethel Millen)settled in the Grimsby, Hamilton, & Saltfleet area. Son E. Chaarles m. Mary Helen Borrows in Wellington county, Feb. 19, 1859.

Sons James and Aeneas settled in Lapeer and Saginaw MI and John settled in Olmstead Falls, Ohio.

Clement L. Clarke died Oct. 29, 1865 and Isabella Shaw Clarke died Mar. 23, 1896 in Grimsby, Ont.

Any help finding information and family would be most appreciated, Isabella and my Gr.Grandfather George Shaw were brother and sister.

Clement Clarke and Isabella Shaw are my oldest sons 3rd great grandparents. George Albert Clarke and Amanda Zimmerman being his 2nd great grandparents. William Clement Clarke and Gertrude Estelle Ballard being his great grandparents and Sherry Andrew Clarke and Hazel Nicholson being his grandparents.

Hi Diana: Thank you for replying. You were recently corresponding with cousin L.S. in Toronto, and she shared your information me. We are trying to locate some Ontario descendents of Clement and Isabella. We will let you know when and if we locate anyone.

Okay Colleen. I do know that Andrew David Clarke had 2 children Fred and Marie. Possibly their family may still be in Canada.. Good luck!!!
