ALICE EVELYN COX
Alice Evelyn COX, 87, a resident of 120 Maggard Place, Morehead, Ky., died Wednesday, feb. 24, 1993, at the Life Care Center in Morehead. She was born November 6, 1905, in Harrison County, Ky., and was the daughter of the late Edward and Lizzie WHALEY COX.
She was a retired professor at Morehead State university, taught in the Harrison County School System, was a member of the Morehead Fiest Christian Association, former secretary and member of the Kentucky Business Education Association, United Business Education Association, Southern Business Education Association, National Business Teachers Association, American Association of University Woman, Delta Pi Epsilon and the homorary business fraternity.
Survivors include: one sister, Elizabeth BALES, Lexington, Ky.; five nephews, F.A. "Bud" RAVENSCRAFT, Morehead, Ky., Edward COX,, Lexington, Ky., Charles COX, Cynthiana, Ky., John Darden RAVENSCRAFT, Columbia, S.C. and Delbert K. SMITH, Celina, Ohio; three nieces, Patsy BALES, Lexington, Ky., Frances Cox LYONS, Lexington, Ky., and Elizabeth Ann REGDON, Hurst, Texas; a host of great-nephews, great niesce and many friends in Morehead and Cynthiana.
Graveside services were conducted Monday, March 1, 1993, at the Battle Grove Cemetery in Cynthiana, Ky., with the Rev. Harold TACKETT officiating.
The Northecutt and Son Home for Funerals, Morehead, was in charge of arrangements.
