Collis R. Maffett, 80, of 312 Wilson Ave., Cynthiana, died at Harrison Memorial Hospital Monday night, Nov. 19, after an illness of several months. He was a past Grand Noble of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows of which he was a 50 year member. He was a memeber of Arlington Rebecca Lodge No. 113. He retired from A. Goldberg Co. after over 40 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Arthur Maffett; one daughter, Mrs. John C. Walsh, Wyoming, Ohio; three granddaughters, Mrs. Linda Ruth Essert, Cincinnati, Ohio, Miss Casandre and Belle Walsh.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, at Whaley Funeral Home by Rev. Robert L. Anderson. Burial in Battle Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Everett Wiggins, Aubrey Wiggins, James K. Plummer, Aaron Arthur Smith, J. A. Bishop and Donald W. Arthur.
