I'm looking for descendants of Lewis Sphinx Downing who died in the Civil War (his wife was Martha Adeline Brothers). Their surviving children were:
John Erasmus "Jack" Downing (married Adeline Morris)-- had 12 surviving children, 10 of them girls, so they'd have different names(they lived in Choccolocco, AL; Jack owned the Downing Mill.) [I am descended from one of these daughters].
Eli Thomas "Tom" Downing (married Ida Susan Coker)-- had three children, Amos B Downing who went to Texas, Thomas Franklin Downing who went to Texas, and Clara B who married a Cowden (they lived out near Alexandria, AL, I believe; their former land is now part of the Pelham Range).
Lewis Napoleon Downing (married Carrie Reaves) -- had five sons: Lewis, John, Jeff, Sam, and Thomas. (Lewis N lived near his brother Tom. He owned the Downing Lumber Mill. The land is now part of Pelham Range).
I know quite a bit about this family, but I am looking for someone who might have photos, particularly of Jack and his wife (or even Lewis Sphinx Downing and his wife). I have lots of information I am willing to share and can direct to other sources.
Thank you.
