Don't know for sure about the person you mention. My Blankenships were Reuben and Elizabeth Blankenship, their son, John Blankenship and family. Reuben's grandson, Reuben Buck, was my grgr grandfather who was in Civil War and lived to return to Coosa. he got work on the trail drives and later moved his wife and immediate family, plus my grgrandfather, John Henry Blankenship, and all of his family to Amarillo. Then to Hill Country TX and later to E. TX for the logging industry. There are many Blankenships left in that area. Sorry I didn't recognize the name immediately. The rest of John's family other than Reuben Buck stayed in Coosa, Ala. so many intermarried with others there. eppersons, whites, stanleys, etc.
