Surnames: Burleson, Thorn
I have the opportunity to travel to Franklin Co, AL this week and am scrambling to review the notes on my ancestors who are from this county. Family names are: Burleson (Burlison) and Thorn (Thorne)
Could you please tell me what types of resources are available at the county courthouse? Is there a local geneaological society that might be open on Friday afternoon, Saturday, or Monday morning (9/26-9/29)? Any helpful hints for researching in this county would be greatly appreciated!
