Surnames: Payne, Paine, Pane, Sowel, Francis, Roulain, Roulsin, Nicholson, Williams, Kuykendall, Caylor
I am looking for James W. Payne born between 1802- 1806 somewhere in Tennessee, on all the census I find him on it sayes he was born in Tennessee. He married Jane Sowell 29 Aug 1831 in Lawrence CO., Alabama. On the census that I find her on it sayes she was born in Tennessee between 1806-1814. On the 1850 census they are listed in Courtland, Lawrence CO., AL

Kuykendall in Lawrence CO., AL., and had three girls Mattie born in Lawrence CO., AL., Allie Lee born in Indian Terr., Cherrokee, OK,married Marion Lawrence Caylor in Yell CO., AR., Georgia born in Servier CO., AR. The 1860 census has them listed as Courtland, Lawrence CO., AL

I have found out who some of the children married Robert Matthew Payne married a Margarett found them on the 1870 census in Lawrence CO., AL., Milly Payne married Elijah Francis 2 April 1869, Lawrence CO., AL, Ruth Jane Payne/Paine married James Nicholson, 12 Feburary 1874 Courtland,Lawrence CO., AL, they are on the 1880 census and Nancy Williams is living with them and her boys. Rachel C. Payne married James C. Roulain/Roulsin 23 April 1868, Lawrence CO., AL., found them on the 1880 census Township 8, Moulton, Lawrence CO., AL.
