Only info I could find:
Nicholas A. Mosley in 1850 Census with parents
Thomas and Elizabeth, and sisters Lucy and Martha.
Living in Prince Edward County, Virginia. Nicholas was 4 at this time.
There was a Nick Mosby (possibly Mosley) in the 1880 Census in Surles, Crenshaw County, Alabama. He lived there with his mother Sarah, and 5 sisters and a brother, ranging from ages 21 to 40. Sarah was born in South Carolina, and all of the children were born in Alabama.
These are the closest things I could find to his name prior to 1900.
