I see no record for a Edward or a Lawrence Weir in the Calaveras County records.
One other thing on Ward, there are probate files at the county archives for Christina Ward in Box 101, File 2518
For John H. Ward in Box 15 and also for Walter Ward in Box 15. There may be some info in the probate files that you would find interesting.
To get that info you need to email the county archives at
calaverasarchives@att.net. Give them the names and box/file number to make the search easier. They charge $10 per hour and there is also a per page cost for copies so you should specify how much you wish to spend.
