I cannot thank you enough for looking up the McKenney obit information for me! This is so very useful. I had no idea that James & Florence's son, Francis, had died in 1925. When he didn't appear in the 1930 census, I assumed he had just moved away from home!
And knowing the names of James' surviving siblings is wonderful. I knew about Sarah because she appeared in the 1880 census along with James and parents. But James' father died in 1889; there was no census for 1890 so I had no way of knowing about additional siblings who would have been born in that nine year span.
Their mother would have been only 28 yo when the father died and I assumed that she had re-married but had no idea when or to whom. I still don't know but being able to research James McKenney's sisters will be very useful in learning more about this family.
Thank you again!
