Surnames: McKenney, McKinney, Wash
James Allen McKenney died in Mariposa on 3 Oct 1954. He had been born in Missouri in 1878/9 and was first enumerated in the census in 1920 (in Parlier, Fresno County) and then in 1930 (Oakland, Alameda County). He was a physician.
I suspect that he 'retired' to Mariposa and probably did not have a long history there. Nevertheless, I wonder how I might find an obit for him? Any suggestions where in Mariposa County to look? Newspaper? Library? Kind researcher who lives in the county who might look for me?
His wife, Florence Wash, d. in 1959 in Modoc County where I suspect she went to live with one of her married sons.
