They came to CA possibly in the 1940's from Scottsbluff Nebraska. CA death index list Maiden name of Elvins mother as White, Census lists her as Lena and Lummie, his fathers name was Elmer, but I think they stayed in Nebraska.

Some of the family are possibly buried in Nevada County.
Elvin Eckland died May 16, 1995, born in Neb Dec 29,1915 with last SS address as Penn Valley or Pleasnt Valley.
Where might if obtain copies of obituaries of Elvin and any other family Members who might have died in Nevada County.


I do have an Obit for Gary Thomas (Squirrel) Eckland who died Nov. 11 2007 SS says last residence was Penn Valley CA.
