I am trying to secure any information relating to Patterson Bowers and/Martin V. Bowers. It is believed that the two are brothers and are the children of Jacob Bowers and Barbara Hawbert who came from Virginia to California via Texas. Patterson, born about 1825 in Virginia married Maria Letitia Crockett in Tazewell County, Virginia in 03 June 1851. They were the parents of seven children. Maria died in Orange County, CA in 1890; Patterson died in Orange County, CA in 1898. The two are buried in the Fairhaven Memorial Park in Santa Ana. I would love to have a copy of an obituary for either.

Martin V. Bowers, born about 1829 in Virginia, married Melissa Kennedy 01 March 1859 in Young County, Texas. They had a son, William, born about 1862 in Texas. By 1880, Martin, Melissa and William were living in Orange TWP, Los Angeles County, CA. I have no other information about Martin, Melissa and/or William Bowers and hope that someone can provide more information about this couple and their child.

Any help anyone can give to help further identify these Bowers men would be appreciated.
