Hello,
I work at the Lincoln News Messenger, I was looking something else up and noticed your request. This is what I found:
From the Lincoln News Messenger Aug. 28, 1980 issue, page 4
" Former fire official Allie Moffett dies
Allie Tilroe Moffett, 62, died Saturday at his Lincoln home.
A native of Oklahoma, Mr. Moffett had retired after a 30-year career at Gladding,McBean & Co., in Lincoln.
He was a former member of the Lincoln Volunteer fire department, having held the assistant chief's post for nearly 20 years.
Mr. Moffett was a World War II veteran and belonged to the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Bernice, also of Lincoln; three daughters, Sharon Moffett and Nicolette Moffett, both of Lincoln, and Renee Callison of Roseville; a son-in-law, Bill Callison of Roseville; two sisters, Katie Shorthose of Sacramento and Mayebell McGuire of Citrus Heights; three brothers, Bryon and marvin both of Pryor Okla., and Lyle of Sacramento; and three grandchildren.
A Tuesday afternoon service was held at Clark Funeral Home.
Cremation was to follow, and the ashes will be buried at Lincoln District Cemetery."
If you need a copy of the obit, I have made one, and will mail it to you, just let me know.
