Hi - I'm trying to find out more info about Albert Cohan, who supposedly died in Aug 1985 in Palm Springs, Riverside, CA. The social security death index provides only his month and year of death, not a specific death date. When I search in the CA death index, I can't find anything for him. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to find his date of death and/or where he is buried? Thanks!

I'm looking for any data on Neil Thompson's wife full maiden name. Neil move to Corona ca. 1948 and died in 1949. He married Alyce Clara ___ somewhere. (or Alyce Claire or Alyce Clare or Clara after 1940.)
Neil was a member of a Veterans Assoc. in Yuma AZ before moving to CA. But that building burned down with all records. He served in WWII and is buried in Sawtellle Nat Cem. Alyce reportedly moved to Florida where she died in the 1980’s. Unknown if she remarried.
If any person has access to marriage records in Riverside Co. or nearby San Bernardino Co. would appreciate a lookup for that marriage. Will donate $50 expenses to the first person to find Neil's marriage record to Alyce or finds her full maiden name.

Hi all.

I'm looking for additional information regarding my great grandmother, Minnie D Hopper (middle name is Dallas. She was born in unknown area in Tennessee 08 Nov. 1881 and passed 03 Feb. 1935; she her gravesite is Olivewood Cemetery in Riverside. I have census for her and my great granddad (Richard Hullett Wallace) as a couple/family but nothing on her prior to that. Obit said she was 53 when she passed and lived at 2409 Seventh Street Riverside, California. Her service was held at E. H. Preston Funeral Home.

This information request may be a duplicate but my home burnt last September and I'm trying to replace some of the information that was lost. So, I'm looking for a grave photo, photo of her home...just anything else that is related to her life in Riverside. If anyone could help me out I would be grateful.

Glennie was born in Nebraska 27 Aug 1888 and died in Riverside County 08 Oct 1976. They were both listed in Los Angeles in the 1930 census. I found a small death notice in The Press-Enterprise, for a Richard Keller Oct 14, 2000. I'm trying to determine if this is Richard Albert Keller brother to Gloria L Keller Reid.

I'm researching Richard A Keller birth date and state of birth unknown died 1940 in the state of Washington from a training accident. Richard A Keller was a Ships Cook 1st Class USN on the USS Maryland and his wife was Louise Johnson Keller.

I found a 1930 census record in California that showed a Richard Keller born about 1895 in TN and his wife age 18 born about 1912 in Pennsyvania. If this is the family I'm looking for then I only know of two childrn, Richard born about 1930 and Gloria L born about 1932.

I would like to find the parents of the above Keller and also information on his son that might have died in Hemet Oct 14, 2000.

I am looking for information on Henry George Millier and his family. He and his family immigrated to the U.S. and to California in 1908. Supposedly he died sitting on a park bench in 1948. I'm not sure when his wife, Ada Emily, passed away, but sometime before 1948. They also had a daughter, Irene Millier, who was a pianist. I don't know if she married or not or when she died, though apparently was when she was still young.

Paul John Hippik, age 91, a resident of Menifee, CA for the past 18 years, went home to be with the Lord Monday morning April 21, 2008. He was born July 04, 1916 in Cleveland, Ohio, a son of Stefan John Hippik and Anna Cecelia (Haccaj), who were immigrants that came to the United States from Czechoslovakia (Austria) in 1913. In 1925 his family had relocated to Los Angeles area, eventually settling in Torrance, CA. He had graduated from Torrance High School in 1934 and then from Woodbury College in 1940. Throughout his whole educational years, he had been involved with many clubs, sports and choir. Even though he had suffered the loss of one eye from an automobile accident as a child, he was still able to enlist and serve in the US Army during WW II from 1943 until Honorably Discharged in 1950. His entire employment career was in the Accounting field, for the Army, and a couple of different companies, until forming a partnership in the 1950's and creating his own CPA company that was located in Whittier, CA, which he retired from in 1983. He had been an active member in the Masonic Lodge, the Shriners and the Elk's Lodge, for many years, in both Oregon and California.

He leaves behind one sister, Irene A. Hippik of Cherry Valley, CA, two step-daughters, Dianna M. Anderson of Silver Springs, Nevada, and Suzanne G. Huntington of Laguna Niguel, CA, and a step son Robert H. Irving of Lake Isabella, CA along with 15 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren and many long time friends. He was proceeded by his son Steven from a previous marriage, his brother Elmer, and recently by his wife Marion, of nearly 30 year.

Dionicio Heredia and wife Rosenda Medina were born ca. 1861 in Mexico; they married 1881; first child should have been Eugene/Eugine Heredia born 1883. They had son Joseph born 1889; Joseph and Eugene lived Caddo and Comanche, Oklahoma; Joseph attended Chilocco Indian School at age 11; perhaps Eugene did also. Two other children born of Dionicio and Rosenda are names unknown (probably born within the six year period between the birth of Eugene and Joseph). Dionicio died (date/place unknown) and wife Rosenda re-married to apparently another Heredia fellow, whose name is written as Domicio. They had four children: Sam, Mary, Julia and my father Frank Paul. Father attended Chilocco Indian School; don't know if the others did. Family is out of El Paso, Texas. Some family went to Riverside, California as well as Los Angeles area. A Dionicio Heredia born 1918 in Texas is listed died November 2004 Riverside, California. My cousin, Eugene Heredia was living at Sherman Institute in 1930 census; he passed away in Los Angeles, California in 1953. He had son named Eugene J. Heredia who married Jill G. Moore; they had son named Eugene John Heredia, possibly a son or relative named Martin as well. Cousin Eugene was born in Comanche County, Oklahoma; his father was Joseph M. Heredia born 1889 and mother Mattie Wells. He had siblings named Hilton Alvin Heredia and Mary Rosenda Heredia. Parents of Joseph are Dionicio Heredia and Rosenda Medina. I have a 1940 obit from the Los Angeles Times, which indicates that a Los Angeles resident was to be buried at "Indian Village, Palm Spings." The mortuary was Pierce Brothers. I can find no trace of a cemetery called Indian Village in Riverside County or anywhere nearby. Please help!

JOHN THOMSON
The death of John Thomson occurred at Banning, Thursday, Sept. 10, resulting from tuberculosis, from which deceased had been a sufferer for years.
Mr. Thomson was born in Annan, Dumfriesshire, Scotland, in the year 1870. He was educated at the Scottish Academy of that town and at the Merchant Taylor's School, He came to America in 1899.
A brief private funeral service was held at the residence and a public service at the church. According to English custom, Mrs. Thomson was represented by Mr. Charles Ingelow; Rev. J. Blackhurst represented the family in England, and Mr. E. Lillingston the Merchant Taylor's Old Boy's Society.
During his year's residence at Banning, Mr. Thomson became well known to many of our people, but of late his illness had kept him confined to his home. He wanted to live, and his mind was bright and active to the end.
Mrs. Thomson has our deepest sympathy of our people. She is anxiously awaiting word from England, where her two daughters live, concerning plans for the future.

Jane Prouty - Obituary

FATAL ACCIDENT
This community was shocked. Monday, morning, when the report quickly spread that the body of Mrs. Jane Prouty had been found with life extinct in the dry creek spanned by the San Gorgonio Avenue bridge.
Investigation proved that Mrs. Prouty had made a social call at the home of a neighbor. Sunday evening, and had left on her return homeward at a late hour. The night was dark and Mrs. Prouty fell from the bridge, a distance of only a few feet. It is believed that the shock proved fatal instantaneously and that this good woman passed peacefully to her reward without suffering.
Deceased was the mother of our well known Mr. H. M. Prouty, and had been a resident here for several years, living in her cottage near the home of her son. Although aged and feeble, Mrs. Prouty was naturally active and she will be greatly missed, not only by her family circle, but by her many friends.
Rev. Blackhurst and Rev. Harkness conducted the funeral at the home Wednesday. 10 A.M.
