The local historical society, STCHS, has acquired the historic Well Fargo Building, built in about 1850, in Big Oak Flat. In 1863 a fire nearly whipped out the town leaving only two stone buildings standing one of which was the Wells Fargo Building. The historical scoiety would like to obtain photos of the building before the fire for restoration and display purposes. If anyone has pictures of Big Oak Flat or the Wells Fargo Building before 1863, please contact me.
