Surnames: DINEEN
Looking for information on the DINEEN family located in and around Enfield/Suffield, Hartford, CT.

Appearing in the 1870 census in Enfield, Hartford, CT are:

DENIN, Julia 62
, John 40
, James 30
, Abby 26

I can account for the eventual whereabouts for all but John (although any additional information would be welcome!). I am trying to ascertain the lineage of the John that appears in this census. The James and Abby listed are the children of Julia (and her husband James, deceased), but I can’t verify the same for John nor track him definitively from this census forward.

I keep getting this John confused with a John DENEEN (DINEEN) that appears in this same general area (Suffield, Hartford, CT) beginning in the 1880 census, along with wife Mary and children Jerry, Mary Ann, Julia and John. However I can’t get the ages to match up. This John is listed as age 48 in the 1880 census, age 52 (b. Dec. 1847) in the 1900 census and 65 in the 1910 census.

I am trying to verify/disprove if the John listed in the 1870 census in the household of Julia is, in fact, her son. Also to verify/disprove if the John DINEEN listed repeatedly in the Suffield census over the years 1880-1910 is this same individual – the son of Julia Casey DINEEN and James DINEEN (deceased prior to 1870).

Any and all help/suggestions would be very much appreciated!
