I am looking for any info on my great grandfather Gerald Delmar Booth. He left my ggmother when my grandpa was an infant and nobody knows what happened to him except he eventually started another family somewhere, and then disappeared on them as well. Just want to know what became of him. He was born in Brideport in 1893. Was married to Jemima Warren Booth and had a son with her ( my grandfather) Frederick Warren Booth. I've looked everywhere on Ancestry but it's like he has vanished off the face of the earth, his name is nowhere.
Thanks
cathy Booth

You may know this already - but I will tell you what I have found.
In the Bridgeport telegram in 1920 it shows that Gerald filed for divorce against Jemima for Cruelty. Jemima was now of parts "unknown" States they were married Feb. 1912. In Dec. the divorce was granted.
Gerald is shown in the Bridgeport Directories until 1828. He was an (electirician) instructor at the State Trade School, 322 John St. for many years. He seemed to have been a big part of the community showing his donations, with his students he built 9 houses, he was part of a lodge. He also made a complaint against the trade school buildings because they were unsafe for the students. He is also named in the article concerning the death of his stepfather - Frank H. Woodruff who died in 1927. Gerald's mother, Lillian was Frank's 3rd wife. Gerald's sisters are also named. Gerald was said to have been living in Stratford at that time. Unfortunately he dissappears in 1928.
In 1920 he lived at 1268 Howard Ave. in Bridgeport
In 1926 he lived at 29 Carver St. in Bridgeport, also shown is Wesley R Booth at that address.
Good luck with the search!
