Jonathan Williams b. 4-7-1764 Conn. d. 3-11-1836 Pike Co. AL. Served in Col. Beardsley's Regt. 4th Brigade, Conn. Militia. Can someone tell me where this Brigade was located or formed? Reported born in a Colony of Connecticut?
There is a DAR on him and I don't know how to go about finding these papers.
Family: m. 1787 Frances Cowart (1768-1812) Craven Co. NC find NO record of this m. 2. Sarah Bond, Apr 2, 1815 she came with him to Pike Co. AL in 1824. Find no record until he appears in the Pike Co. Census 1830.

How would I go about finding his papers and the above info? All suggestions are greatly appreciated. kindness

I would suggest that you go to http://www.dar.org and request a lookup on Jonathan. If somebody joined the DAR based on his serving in the Revolutionary War, the DAR would have a copy of the application. For a fee you can request a copy of the application from the DAR.
If he had a pension, you can find a copy on "Heritage Quest" which you can access through your local library.

It is shown in the DAR papers that his residence was Danbury, CT.
