Looking for anc/desc of following families in Madison County, Ill.: Joseph JARRETT b. 1832 Pa. came to Alton ca 1858. Married Addie SWETTENHAM Jan. 9, 1872. Addie was the daughter of George and Sarah Swettenham. Addie was previously married to a Samuel FINDLAY. Joseph and Addie had 10 children, Sarah(Findlay), Sam(Findlay), William J., Warren G., Walter C., Lorenzo E., Harry, Clement, Anna Faye, and Clarence Ulysses.

Their son, William J. married Jeanetta Young Dec. 5, 1895 in Bethalto. Jeanetta d/o of Oscar and Sara Etta Martin. William and Nettie had 9 children.

Also, looking for info re: Doerr family of Bethalto, Ill. George Doerr was born in March 1848 in Germany and came to America in 1865. He married Magdalina Metzner and they had 12 children. He owned a mortuary in Bethalto, and then started a hardware store. George's son, William married a Mayme Klein, d/o Germ Klein from Holland.
