In 1870 Marion County I found 3 Clemens' children living with John M. Montgomery and Sarah Jane (Courson) Montgomery. They were Joseph age 14 born in Illinois, Francis C. age 11 born in Texas and Harriet age 8 born in Texas. Also my brother in law, Melvin M. Montgomery has a picture taken in Illinois that has the signature of J. R. Clemons on it. Anyone knowing about this family please reply.
