It's me again, I'm following up on on the different spellings of Fruechtl, and realized this post has the wrong email address for me. I can be reached at glnnda@hotmail.com I've managed to track Joseph and family down through the census' but haven't gotten much further. However, I'd be happy to share what I do have. I would be interested in seeing a copy of Joseph Jr's obit - I did pick up a book from ebay that has several newspaper articles translated from the Effingham Volksbaltt 1884-1886 and both the Fruechtls and Roetkers are mentioned - not alot, but there are a few and they mostly mention the day to day doings of the folks. I can scan the articles if anyone is interested. I also wanted to mention that my mom [Kay] and Cynthia's husband are first cousins - my mom's mom is Regina - Anna's youngest sister.
