I am looking for any information concerning Anna M. (Magdelena) Runner. She was born 22 Sep 1851 in either Centre or Clinton county Pennsylvania. Her parents were Frederick Schoff Runner and Elizabeth Furst. Frederick died in 1853 and Elizabeth then married his brother, Jacob Runner. In 1857 the family moved to Jo Daviess county, Illinois, near Elizabeth. I am particularly looking for any information confirming the county in which Anna was born in PA, or the church she may have attended in Jo Daviess county. Anna went on to marry George Curtis Bailey in 1879 in Stephenson County, Illinois. They are my great-grandparents.

Elmira Brown. We are looking for our lost Elmira/Almira/Elmyra Brown sister of James R. Brown (my gr>gr grandfather). The last time I find her is 1870 in Iowa with parents Josiah and Sarah. Many siblings moved Iowa; then some to >Kansas>Oklahoma>California. We have many family pictures of the Brown's in California.

The 1850 and 1870 census indicate she was blind. Census records indicate she was born in Ohio abt 1832. Could your Elmira and our be the same?

I am not sure of the city. There was one survivor and I can not remember his name for the life of me.(First name may have been Robert). He and my brother had returned from the Korean War. I know the survivor had multiple injuries. If any one knows who the survivor was or his family, I would love to correspond with them. I was 14 months old and he never got to see me.He would have been 74 years old in August. Also, if there were any newspaper articles, I would love a copy.
Thanks,
Sherry J.
I also am trying to find a relative that is buried in the Galena area. My uncle's mother died in Peosta, IA in Nov 1939, but was returned to Galena, IL to be buried. The article I have reports her name as Mrs. Walter Bierce. Her son, Harry Bierce and his wife Dorothy (Winkler) would have attended the funeral. The husband, Walter Bierce, is likely to have been buried in Galena as well. I dont know much of anything about the family--children, birth dates, occupations, birth places, etc. Anything at this point would help. Thanks in Advance.

Lew

Hi, I really don't have any information on Sarah... but I recognized her last name as being part of my husband's ancestry. He has a Josiah Kerr born in 1837 & married Jane Sophia Price Centre Co. Pennsylvania, Oct. 12, 1859. They had 7 children together - all born in the Stephenson & Jo Davis Counties. Their first child was born near Orangeville, IL. I don't know where the rest of the 6 were born... but some of the youngest children of theirs died in Freeport, IL which is just a few miles from Jo Davis County. Does any of this sound familiar? If so - I'll send you the information I have.
Good luck!
Cammie Jordan

I'll be there from the 17th to the 23rd at least.
I would love to stop by and say hi.
Jennifer Heer Norman
jennifer@heer.com

I would like to communicate with you again if you would be receptive. Thank you

I believe some of Frank Snyder and Emma's children are also buried in Galena. I lost a great deal of my information due to computer crashes and am trying to go on my sometimes not so great memory.

Andrew and Mary Campbell are my great great grandparents, as are Frank and Emma Snyder.

My husband, Paul Campbell, and I have some information on those names. Paul's great-grandmother was Mary Snyder Campbell. She married Andrew, son on Samuel and Ann Gray Campbell. Frank Snyder was Mary's father. Mary and Andrew had 3 sons, Harry, Frank and John. John is Paul's grandfather.

We found Andrew's obituary from the Galena Weekly Gazette, April 2, 1880. He died March 24, 1880 and is buried in Greenwood cemetary. Mary and the boys moved to western Iowa, Sioux City area. She is also buried in Greenwood, dying in February 24, 1905. In her obituary it listed a brother Henry and sister, Kate Atwood.

The 1850 census of Irish Hollow and 1980 census of Elizabeth Township listed Samuel Campbell and family members.

Andrew's sister, Nancy Ann Campbell Speer is buried in the Log Church cemetary. Their mother is also buried there, but we haven't figured out where Samuel is buried.

What is your connection to this family group?

Some of the first names are Andrew, Mary, Samuel Campbell, Frank, Emma Snyder. I believe some of Frank and Emma's children are buried there. I believe it should be after 1880 or there abouts. I am not sure on the dates I know Andrew Campbell was around 1879 or 80. Mary, Frank should be later and Emma might be earlier. Thank you

http://www.vitalrec.com/il.html

Here is a website that might be able to help you obtain a copy of Herbert's BC or his dads. No the Kyle name is not in with the Drew surname, just trying to be helpful. And a while back my email address ended with @home and was bought out and changed. Hope this helps.
