Surnames: Shields, Leary, Sinnott, Blake, Sullivan
Does anyone know about the Irish Catholic families that came to Jacksonville in the late 1840's or early 1850's? They lived in an area that my ancestors' called "The Patch". Has anyone ever heard of that name, or where it comes from ?
