Virginia Blevins Roe, age 85, of Middletown, OH passed away November 12, 2009 at Garden Manor Retirement Village. She was born March 6, 1924 in Catlettsburg, KY to Dan and Ida (Steele) Blevins. She was a homemaker. Virginia was a member of Buena Vista Church of God. She and Dorsey were a part of the Roe Family Quartet. Virginia will be fondly remember as always working crossword puzzles, sewing and quilting making heirloom quilts and Raggedy Ann and Andy Dolls and a baby-sitter everyone in the family could depend on. The family wants to extend a special thank you to Vitas Hospice and Dr. Joe Burghardt. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dorsey Roe on January 11, 1998; infant daughter; 10 brothers and sisters. Virginia is survived by sons, Michael (Louise) Blevins, Joe Roe; daughters, Libby (Bill) Delver, Cathy (Danny) Holbrook; 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; brother, Dan Blevins; sister-in-law, Ines Blevins and numerous nieces, nephews and church family and friends. Visitation will be held November 15, 2009 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Baker-Stevens Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held November 16, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Roy Taylor and Pastor Bud Garitson officiating.
