ELIZABETH B. NEWKIRK - married SAMUEL GENTRY on Nov. 23, 1815.
JOHN GILES - married ELIZABETH GENTRY on March 28, 1814.
MARY GENTRY born 1799.
ELLISON GENTY born 1800.

I just sw your Feb 2002 posting about Gentry family. I believe your Gentry family came from Louisa county Virginia.My Nancy Gentry married my ancestor Thomas Bailey.They lived in Bullitt County for a while before settling in 1810 in Barren county Ky. Believe these Gentry's come via Nicholas Gentry I who married a Stringer.Apparently the Gentry family was well off and large land owners in that part of Va.My Gentry-Bailey ancestors are both buried in Barren Co

My great grandfather was James C. Genty born Lake County, Ill on 7/5/1854; date of death 8/8/1910. Married Margaret Louise Kline 6/26/1895. Margaret was born Chicago 9/17/1871; died 1/1/1943. Her mother, Julia loebaka, DOB 12/2/1853, her father, John Paul Kline, DOB 3/2/1850.

Any connection? I'm just beginning to do some "Genty" history and thus far have not been too successful!

Hello, my grandmother was Luz Maria Tremont, daughter of Simona Tremont who's mother was Ines Tremont, they all came from the State of Falcon Venezuela, they were descendants of Jose Miguel Tremont who left Nantes, France to Venezuela and died in the late 1700's. I am looking for the roots of the lastname and the different branches to see which one I am prossibly related with. If you have any information that you don't mind sharing, It'd be greatly appreciated.
