Gary E. Avery, 51, of Marion, died Thursday, Oct.. 15, 2009, at 2:50 a.m. at his home in Crittenden County.
A member of Calvary Baptist Church, he was a son of the late Billy and Doris Kingston Avery.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Lavern Soverns.
Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Tina Driskill Avery; a daughter, Maranda McCoy of Marion; three sons, Derek Bloodworth of Calvert City, Jimmy Avery of Paducah and Brian Andrews of Fredonia; a grandson, Joshua Bloodworth of Calvert City; two brothers, Gerald Avery of Marion and Greg Avery of Calvert City; and a sister, Vickie Goldsby of Calvert City.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Oct. 17, at 1 p.m. at Dunn’s Funeral Home in Eddyville.
The Rev. Jimmy Jones officiated the service.
Burial followed in Iuka Cemetery in Livingston County.
