      <description>My Rouse Family came from Florida to Galveston, TX and Isaac Rouse bought land in Freestone County in 1870. His son was John Quincy Rouse (a Confederate Veteran), whose son was Lucius Jennings Rouse, whose son was Frank Lewis Rouse,Sr., my father.  If you are interested, I have birthdates, marriages, etc.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I have never heard of Rouse, KY.</description>

Hedger was a homemaker and a member of the Williamstown United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Sherman Homemakers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Hedger; a son, Stewart Hedger; and a daughter, Alice Hedger. Survivors include her son, Jim Hedger and wife, Carol, of Sherman; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Visitation was from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Jan. 21 in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home in Dry Ridge. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. at the  funeral home.       <description>Leona Connely, 93, of Dry Ridge, died Tuesday, January 19, 2010, at her daughter’s home in Dry Ridge. She was a homemaker who lived her entire life in her family home. She was a member of Elliston Baptist Church and attended Dry Ridge Baptist Church in her later years. She served 17 years as the assistant associational clerk and treasurer for the Ten Mile Association. She was a charter member of Grant County Homemakers, Flat Creek Elliston Club, where she had perfect attendance for 61 years and served in many capacities and offices. She was a member of the Captain John Lillard Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Happy Hunting Ground Children Chapter of the American Revolution. She served as a director and woman’s chairman of the Grant County Farm Bureau and was a member of Grant and Gallatin Counties Historical Societies. She was a volunteer for Grant County Soil Conservation, the Grant County Fair Board, and the Grant County Preservation Board. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Eva Webster Connell; and her husband Kenneth Connely who died in 1991. Survivors included her daughter, Jacqueline “Jackie Jo” Courts and son-in-law, Billy E. Courts of Dry Ridge; granddaughters, Rachel (Randy) Magee and Rebekah (Billy) White, of Elliston; grandson, Kenny (Missy) Courts of Zion Station; great grandsons, Lucas and Elijah Courts, both of Zion Station and Hiett White of Elliston; cousin, Edna Alexander of Independence; nieces, Shellye (Doug) White of Shreveport, Louisiana and Connie (Paul) Collins of Bruce, Mississippi; and a nephew Kim Mack of Cincinnati. Funeral services were held January 22 at Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home in Verona. Burial was in the Napoleon Cemetery in Warsaw. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Grant County News, Williamstown, Kentucky, January 28, 2010</description>

      <description>Lara Cavanagh, one of the oldest and most highly respected business men of Williamstown, died at his rooms in the Turner House, Monday, April 9, 1900. He was born in Wicklowe, Ireland in 1832, and at the age of 18 years emigrated to America, landing originally at New Orleans. In 1850 he located in Grant Coutny where he learned the carpenters trade, which calling he followed until 1880, when he turned his attention to financial matters. He helped to organize the Grant County Deposit Bank in 1882, and was its president for many years.       <description>James A. Hicks, 76, of Falmouth, died suddenly at his home on West Shelby Avenue, early Sunday morning, July 30, 1945. He was the son of Jesse and Sarah Turner Hicks, born August 13, 1868. He united in early manhood with the Mt. Lystra Christian Church. He married Lena Turner on October 2, 1890. This union was dissolved by death on March 30, 1904. To this union were born four children, one of whom died in early infancy. Thomas Clark died February 25, 1943. The two surviving are Roxie C. Hicks of Detroit, Michigan and Pearl Hicks Speers of Covington. In 1906 he married Fannie K. Glenn, of Falmouth, who survives. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Mrs. Lena Spears McLynn of California, Natalie Spears of Covington, Joseph Hicks Spears, who is serving in the Army in Yuma, Arizona, Bernard Spears of Covington and Jeanne Hicks of Niagara Falls, New York. He is also survived by three sisters and one brother, Mrs. Florence Chipman and Eliza Robinson of Williamstown, Elizabeth Callon and Alfred Hicks, both of Mexico, Missouri, and Mrs. Arthur Simpson of Lawrenceville. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, July 31, by Rev. Tom W. Collins. Burial took place in the Williamstown Cemetery. Burial services were in charge of J. M.       <description>Mrs. Ethel Scroggin Knight, 37, died at her home in the county Tuesday morning from pneumonia. Mrs. Knight was the mother of eleven children who are all living. She is also survived by her husband, Jesse Knight; her mother, Mrs. Harriett Scroggin, and one sister, Mrs. Orville Crouch. Funeral services were conducted Thursday morning at 11 o'clock at Grassy Run Church.       <description>Robert K. Gaugh, Demossville, died April 30 after an illness of four days. He was 71 years of age, a native of Grant County and a member of Gardnersville Baptist Church.  His parents were the late Gilby K. and Angeline Burroughs Gaugh. Seven years ago Mr. Gaugh retired as maintenance man for Strietman Biscuit Co. Survivors are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Andrew Souder, Dry Ridge, and one son, John K. Gaugh, Covington. Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 2, at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home with the Rev. James Smathers and the Rev. Joe Hill officiating. Interment was made in Williamstown Cemetery. Songs by Mrs. John Ackman, accompanied by Mrs. B. E. Stanley at the organ, were "Rock of Ages" and "The Old Rugged Cross." Pall bearers were Clifton Webb, Kenneth Cummins, Cannon and Emerson Souder, Charles Ackman, I. R. He was a farmer and was unmarried and had lived in the Cordova precinct all his life. He leaves his mother, Mrs. Ogden and several nieces and nephews, Mrs. Zora Williams of Sycamore, Illinois, Erzula Karger of Blanchester, Ohio, and Romania Antrobus of Mason and Willie Ogden of near Cordova. Funeral services were conducted from the Mt. Pleasant Church Thursday afternoon by Rev. M. L. Hutcherson. Burial in Williamstown Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her parents, Grant Conner and Nellie King Conner. Survivors include her husband, Joseph Cusick of Crittenden; daughter, Rose Kelsey of South Lebanon, Ohio; brother, Charles Conner of Cambridge City, Indiana; two grandsons; and one great grandson. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. November 25 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Crittenden. Funeral services will be held November 25.
