Johnnie H. Thompson, age 63, of Canmer died Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009, at his residence in Canmer. He was a self employed mechanic. He was the son of the late Lloyd Thomson and the late Betty Kerr Thompson. He is survived by two daughters, Monica Arnett of Canmer; Tamara Layfield of Albany, Ga.; four sisters, Jean Jones of West Unity, Oh.; Mae Finch of West Unity, Oh.; Adele Kuzmaul of Alabama; Doris Stantz of Montlelier, Oh.; one brother, Cecil Pete Thompson, of Liberty Center, Oh.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5 and from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 6. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 6 at Brooks Funeral Home with Bro. Timmy Glass and Bro. Darrel Hensley officiating. Interment will be at Thompson Cemetery in Cub Run.
