Bradbury / McPheters 1840-1850

Classification: Query
Surnames: Bradbury, McPheters, Burbank
I'm looking for information on Edwin Bradbury and/or his wife whose maiden name was McPheters. They lived in Hermon (Penobscot County) in 1840. Sometime before 1850 it is said Edwin moved to California but nothing is said of his wife. They were living with Edwin's parents, Thomas Bradbury and Sally Webster Bradbury, in the 1840 census in Hermon with their young son, John T Bradbury b. January 14, 1840. The McPheters mother would have been very young at John T Bradbury's birth, 17-18. However, in the 1850 and 1860 census John T Bradbury is living Abner Burbank and his wife Ann. I suspect Ann was married once before to a McPheters becuase in her burial plot in Snow Cemetery all are (younger and) named McPheters except Abner Burbank and his wife "Annie" I suspect Ann was John T Bradbury's maternal grandmother. I'd like to know anything about the mother of John T Bradbury (McPheters b. circa 1822) as I suspect she died between 1840-1850 and that Edwin went on to California after leaving his son John T Bradbury with his maternal grandmother. Both of Edwins parents died between 1840-1850 (Sally Webster Bradbury d. Dec 5 1840 in Hermon per Bangor Whig & Courier and Thomas Bradbury "Moved to Charlestown, MA and died therein 1849". Thanks for any help on this you can provide. charles-bradbury@charles-bradbury.com
