James F. McMahon was born in 1879 in Miltown Malbay, County Clare, Ireland, son of Daniel McMahon and Catherine Kelley. He immigrated to Mass. in 1901 and went to his cousin, Thomas Kelley, in Boston, MA. James had two brothers, Daniel and Michael McMahon, who immigrated also. James F. McMahon went to Lowell, MA. and married first Delia Neylon and second Margaret Maroney. I am searching for any information concerning Thomas Kelley, with little information to work with. Can anyone help?

Hi Jean,
Have you posted to the MA-census-lookup list for Thomas KELLEY in the 1900/1910/1920/1930 censuses?

No. For some reason, I don't get many responses on that board and actually have better luck on this board. I do have the 1900 census records for Thomas Kelley's in Boston, MA. Unfortunately, I don't yet have enough information to pare the list down. All that I know is in my original posting here. Hopefully, I'll get more clues along the way to help. If I learn more, I will post it here.
Jean.

Hi Jean. Your query just reminded me of a piece of information I received this summer. I am trying to put together a document about 13 LEWIS siblings which grew up in Stoneham. The Stoneham Town Clerk very kindly sent me the marriage records for them, which she could find.

One of the sons was Francis "Frank" LEWIS, b1887 MA, who married in 1909 to Addie Maud KELLEY. And she was shown to be the daughter of Joseph W. KELLEY and Nellie A. JONES.

That is all the information I have, and I don't know if it will help you, but I thought I'd offer it anyways.

Thank you, Betty. I don't know if there is a connection or not right now, but you never know. It may turn out to be a piece of the puzzle!

I'm wondering if you know of any connection to any of these surnames in the Boston MA area./
O'Donnell, Watts, Conley, Connolly, Fogarty, Fountain Smalley, Lafferty,
I was browsing awhile ago and saw O'Donnells connected to the Kelley's in Boston, but at the timn, thought nothing of it since it didn't seem to connect to my family. Now for the life of me I can't find that message, but it was a few years ago. that it was posted.

Good Luck
Barb
